I wonder who the kahuna were and how did they get to be one?
One day on a Offshore fishing charter with Mai Tai Eddie, we were in a 35′ Sport Fish going offshore between Lanai and Kahooawe out deep to find some Sailfish, etc.
And I brought some banana’s onboard, because I did not ever hear the Hawaiian Fruit kahuna was beheaded because another kahuna said that the Fruit kahuna Banana’s all black and small, that the Fruit kahuna brought bad luck on the boat and that is why the Fish kahuna could not catch any fish…
Therefore I conclude that a real kahuna is much like us in some areas, like thinking a lot. And that since they were the smartest and most clever of the Hawaiian, that they should be in charge…
Now we are getting into the “meat” of the subject of the Hawaiian kahuna.
Who were the real Kahuna’s.
When did they live and what did they bring to the Hawaiian nation and its people?
Who are “today’s kahuna?”
Goals and Objectives?
Hawaiian Nation Rights?
Multi Culture Hawaii now, what would the kahuna tell them?
