It occurs to me that a History of Ancestors on a timeline basis would allow cross correlation to events of that era, and a person can learn History via his family tree using ancestry.com
History has proved itself as the teacher to future generations based on events and people of that timeframe.
Facebook is now the way to group family members via interests as well as parentage and careers of your friends and career history begin to allow you to visualize your family tree, then the addition of Google Earth and your family photos can be used to track the genealogy over the geography of your family tree.
A combination of events, History Channel Videos of the era, and your geography using Google Earth begins to create the basis of your story of your family.
